The Matlock Bath Pirate Mutiny will span two days and will include live music, family activities, games, reenactments, stalls, entertainers and lots and lots of pirates!

There will be specials on rum and beer all weekend and plenty to see and do for all the family.

Make sure this date is penciled in your ships diary as this free event will surely be a spectacle!

  • JIGGERY FOLKERY in the bar @ 9pm
    • Jiggery Folkery are a rather good four-piece covers band, made up of vocals, and various instruments including acoustic bass, acoustic guitars and mandolin, banjo and harmonica. They are pioneers of the folk ‘n’ roll genre, and do their own versions of everything from Johnny Cash to The Mavericks, and The Clash to Van Morrison.


  • JAMES TAPLIN out on the terrace @ 12pm
    • One of South Yorkshire’s most talented local musicians – James Taplin performs with deep passion and often total abandon, captivating audiences large and small across the country.Playing a huge ensemble of hand-picked, left-field covers as well as a growing number of diverse and catchy originals, James is the embodiment of good-hearted music from his lion’s mane to his sneaker feet.
  • RED RUFF out on the Terrace @ 1.30pm
    • Big boots, red hair & three part harmonies! Funny and eccentric Red Ruff are made up of a unique trio of acapella singers, and a cellist who together perform their unique cabaret folk songs.
  • HORNSWAGGLE out on the Terrace @ 3pm
    • From a dusty pub cellar, with the sound of waves crashing in the background, come Hornswaggle; a band out of time, with stories to tell and good times to be had.Merging folk music styles and instrumentation with fairytales, folklore, pagan and pirate imagery, plus a healthy dose of real ale, the band are developing quite a fanbase both in the UK and over in the US.
  • DEMIDOG in the ballroom @ 7pm
    • Demidog are a relatively new on the scene Heavy Metal Band from Mansfield with influences from Alice In Chains, Black Sabbath, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Ozzyetc. 
  • THE SIEGE in the ballroom @ 8.30pm
    • Original hard rock from the North East. They have a wide variety of influences, everything from Judas Priest, Motorhead, Dio & Sabbath to more modern metal.
    • Our regular open mic night continues despite the crowds rocking it out in the mosh pit above, so if you fancy something a little tamer (although random is usually how it’s best described) then head on down to our bar for another eccentric mix of entertainment.
