Nathan Caton - Stand Up Comedy / Comedy

Wed 20Feb
8:00 PM

Note: This event has finished

Nathan Caton

‘Laidback, on-the-nose material, chopping down fools of all colours, both in day-to-day life and in the media’ – The Guardian

Former Chortle Student Comedian of the Year as seen on ‘Mock The Week’, ‘The World Stands Up’, ‘FHM Stand Up Hero’, ‘Little Miss Joycelyn’, ‘Comedy Cuts’ and his own sketch show on Comedy Central (which earned him a Hotshot award from Broadcast magazine for his writing).  All this plus a 6 part radio 4 show ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’. He’s instantly likeable, charismatic and an incredibly slick performer with a natural stage presence. Not to be missed.

Andrew Watts

‘His distinctive style stands out – a winning mixture of pomposity, insecurity and emotional incompetence, while the fury-inducing importance he places on the trivial makes for a winning comic stance’ – Chortle

As seen on Comedy Central’s ‘The World Stands Up’ and ITV4’s ‘FHM Stand-Up Hero’, Edinburgh Festival regular Andrew looks and acts like he’s in middle management, a socially inept posh boy whose distaste for everything even remotely laddish and fondness for over-extended cricket analogies cloaks some delicious writing with more provocative thoughts crammed into 20 minutes than many esteemed comics manage in a decade.

Alfie Moore

From ITV’s ‘Show Me The Funny’. The UK’s only Policeman stand-up previewing new material ahead of a Spring UK tour.

Kahn Johnson

‘An engrossingly likeable character on stage… telling tales that completely rope you in – Gigglebeats.co.uk

Compere – Anthony J Brown

‘Hilarious ad-libs and wicked one-liners from an infectiously funny performer’ – The List

Clad in a sartorially edifying manner, like a dapper and dandy funeral director, Anthony cuts a unique on-stage presence with humour blacker than a raven that’s slammed it’s claw in a coffin lid. Jongleurs/Metro “Stand & Deliver” Award winner and former BBC New Comedy Award Runner-up he is a regular contributor to Radio 2’s “The Arthur Smith Lectures”. As seen on ‘The Stand Up Show’ and ‘Phoenix Nights’.
